As an adult, it's hard to listen. You're ready to do anything before listening. That ich you get, the craving of movement that claws at you at night. When you lay in bed thinking of all the things you have to do tomorrow. Listen to your children when they speak to each other or their friends. It's amazing the logic they live by, the way they carry themselves and how everything is so little to them. They grow living in that manner, listening to others.

Take responsibility and forgive yourself

It's hard to take responsibility for your actions. When you burst with anger, when you overeat something, or when you can't afford to do certain things it's easy to put the blame on someone or something else. In order to grow to take on responsibility and learn from it. It's ok to make mistakes and it's not like the person you are today. Love the person you want to become and forgive yourself. NO ONE is perfect. It's cheesy but it's true.

Time doesn't heal all. Taking the right actions every day for a long time heals all. Nothing good is made quickly, and to be able to understand that is key. Take time to recognize what you're doing wrong and take time to slowly change them. It's possible to burnout if you change everything so quickly but it is a method I know some people have successfully used. One thing at a time, then slowly add new habits you want to implement.

Little Plan

Something you can do today!
Find a habit you don't like and swap it out for a healthy one. Such as chewing your nails. Every time you think about chewing bite a carrot! When your brain creates that habit you'll be craving carrots instead. Then keep adding on those swapped habits. Listen. Take responsibility. Forgive. Time.
Growth is something not everyone will do. Others might take it away from you because they chose not to grow. Surround yourself with those wanting to change.
